Prestigious publication grant awarded by French Embassy

SUNY Press has received a prestigious Hemingway Grant from the Cultural Services of the French Embassy supporting the forthcoming publication of Guilty, an important work by the 20th-century French philosopher Georges Bataille. Translated and with an introduction by Stuart Kendall, Guilty will be published in January 2011 in the SUNY series in Contemporary French Thought, edited by David Pettigrew and Francois Raffoul. Dunlap leads Agassi in North Carolina

Looks like author Annette Dunlap's book Frank: The Story of Frances Folsom Cleveland, America's Youngest First Lady finished November at # 3 on the nonfiction bestsellers list in Sandhills,  North Carolina—ahead of Andre Agassi's splashy new biography. Author's perseverance pays off with Frances Folsom Cleveland bio

The Courier-Tribune (North Carolina) has published an early review of Frank, our upcoming biography of Frances Folsom Cleveland. The book is the first full-length bio of America’s youngest, and perhaps most underrated, First Lady. In the article, author Annette Dunlap describes what went into writing the book and how her perseverance paid off in this meticulously detailed account of the First Lady's life.
